Autumn 2010
Courses with Annabel Groom
Patchwork and Quilting
This course is suitable for absolutely anybody, whether you’ve done some patchwork before or you’ve never even threaded a needle. You will have the opportunity to learn all the skills required to make a patchwork quilt both by hand and using a machine. Lessons include pattern drafting, template making, selecting colours, cutting and piecing, appliqué and quilting. All these new skills can be used to make a traditional sampler quilt. Alternatively, if you have a particular project in mind that you would like some help with, then you can use this course to work on your ideas with guidance from Annabel. There is no limit to what you can learn and it is possible for the course to continue into the spring term.
